The Norfork Public School System and the entire community are in mourning after the death of Norfork High School Principal Bobby Hulse Wednesday morning after a lengthy battle with COVID-19.

Elementary Principal Deanna Klaus announced Hulse’s passing Wednesday morning in a social media post. Klaus kept the community updated on Hulse’s condition throughout his battle and says the loss is heartbreaking.

The 76-year-old Hulse spent more than 50 years in education, including the last 40 in the Norfork District. Known as a fighter for his students and prideful in his school, Hulse served as a mentor for Klaus during her 25 years in the district.

Klaus says everyone in the Norfork district is working together to keep the school running smoothly, which she feels is what Hulse would want.

Funeral arrangements for Bobby Hulse are pending at Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services. He is survived by his wife, Vicky; a son, Lance; and a daughter, Tasha Harris.
