The Mountain Home High School boys’ basketball team extended its winning streak to three games in Paragould for the first of three straight road trips.

The Bombers were able to erase a 10-point third quarter deficit to defeat the Rams 71-56. Mountain Home had a six-point lead in the second quarter, before Paragould had a 13-point swing and went into the locker room up seven. The Rams began the third quarter with a three to push the margin to double digits, but that would be the only field goal they scored in the period. The Bombers scored the next 11 to get the lead back. The game was tied at 42 going into the final period, but Mountain Home pulled away by outscoring Paragould 29-14.

Wyatt Gilbert led the Bombers with 29 points, Mat Jones scored 15, and Jake McGehee added 10. For the Rams, Landon Manning had 21 points, and Eli Schreit chipped in 10.

Paragould remains winless in seven games on the season. Mountain Home improves to 3-2 and will travel to Springdale on Thursday to meet Har-Ber.
