Getting Festive, COVID style
December 1, 2020
The countdown to Christmas is on! People all over the world celebrate Christmas with customs and rituals that are both religious and secular in nature. This year it may be different due to the pandemic, but you can still have just as much fun while staying safe.
Things you can do to celebrate with your family safely during the holidays:
- Hosting an outdoor meal
- To get in the spirit, go to a local coffee/hot chocolate shop where people are required to wear masks
- Have a virtual celebration with your family
- Have a small get together/meal with the people in your household
- Shop online and rather than in-store for presents
- Watch sports events, parades, and movies at home
- Zoom your loved ones to tell them happy holidays
- Have outdoor entertainment/games
- If more than the people in your family come keep a list
- If someone out of town is coming over to celebrate make sure they get tested before and after traveling
- Wear a mask and social distance as best as possible!
