Mountain Home volleyball falls in back-and-forth match against Van Buren

The Mountain Home High School volleyball team fell in a back-and-forth match at Van Buren Thursday night 3-2. Van Buren won the first set 25-23, Mountain Home took the second 25-16, the Lady Pointers won the third set 25-23, the Lady Bombers won the fourth set 25-16, and Van Buren claimed the final set 15-13.

Kiah Beard finished with 50 assists, Reanna Dodge had 24 kills and seven blocks, Kendall Carter had 10 kills and 19 digs, Riley Schmitz finished with 22 digs, Riley Straka had 10 digs, and Kylee Sabella had 14 digs and nine kills.

The Lady Bombers are now 11-4 overall and 7-3 in the 5A West Conference.

Van Buren won the JV match by scores of 25-20 and 25-18. For Mountain Home, Cate Jackson had 12 digs, Emma Crabb had 20 assists, and Emma Wilber finished with six kills.
