On Saturday, November 23rd, the annual White River Marathon for Kenya will take place in Cotter, Arkansas. There are three race options available for the public, depending on their personal dexterity and choices. The popular 5k, which is priced at $40, is a fairly level race through the roads along the White River. The half marathon costs $95 and the marathon $110, both staying on the same ground as the 5k with the flat course among the river, and all starting at 7 am.  Prior to the race on the 23rd, a post-race pasta meal will be provided with the opportunity to pick up race packets as well. These races are eligible for the Boston Qualifier, so runners of all types of vigor are welcome. This year, the donation goal for the Kids of Kaitito through World Vision is $5,000, and there has already been $1,300 raised so far. This event is a great opportunity for any type of runner to enjoy the landscape of Northern Arkansas while racing for a beneficial cause. More information and sign-ups are available at the White River Marathon for Kenya website.
